Job Overview
This role requires 3-4years experience across the Microsoft Data stack. This specifically includes Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse technologies, with skills in data query, data transformation, and data preparation and modelling for reporting purposes.
Key responsibilities
- Review and triage support requests from customers
- Respond to support requests with solution proposals and estimates to deliver outcomes
- Analysing data requirements and providing solution architecture/design using the Microsoft Azure data and analytics services
- Delivery of data and analytics services relative to agreed solution architecture
- Developing and documenting data ETL frameworks and best practises
- Maintain best practice standards for the development or cloud-based data warehouse solutioning including naming standards
Key skills
- Expert level of Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL is essential
- Experience in building ETL (SSIS or ADF) pipelines
- Strong experience in architecting Datamart’s/Data warehousing at an enterprise level
- Experience in pulling data from APIs or streaming datasets
- Experienced in implementing data modelling principles highly desirable
- An understanding of data modelling in reporting solutions is desirable
- Experience in Big data technologies (Hadoop, Kafka) desirable
- Strong communication skills and being able to present to customers
Certifications
- DP203 certification highly desirable
